We have hosted three annual Valentine’s Charity Ball events to date, with our most recent gala being this past February at the Infinity Convention Centre. This was the team's third event, with keeping their vision of increasing youth leadership opportunities while raising awareness regarding important social issues in the city.
At our gala on February 10th 2018, we wanted to bring everyone’s attention to mental health awareness. With large-scale initiatives such as Bell Let’s Talk and Do It For Daron (DIFD), we wanted to show our support and raise awareness around the stigma associated with mental health. Net proceeds from the evening went to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation to support the “Hopes Rising” campaign, a $5 million project to “enhance and improve mental healthcare for a rapidly growing number of adults and families.” The Impact613 team was proud to raise over $25,000 for this special cause.
